Use your MidiMayhem NFT to become a rockstar.
The combined 5,000 NFTs consist of almost 26 hours of generated music. Each NFT is guaranteed to be unique.
There are 5 different rarities for the NFTs. Each rarity has a unique sound and is distinguishable from NFTs of other rarities.
The minting algorithm is random, so it's kinda like playing the lotto. Will you be lucky enough to mint a mythic token?

Owners of MidiMayhem NFTs are granted a personal and commercial license of the work and any derivation of it while it remains in their posession.
Each work also includes a MIDI file that can be imported into a favorite Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for editing.*
*The MIDI file does not include the sounds or samples used to generate the NFT.
This was a fun project to build. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as the team enjoyed creating it. Thank you for your help and support.
10 hand-picked mythic tokens will be given away as rewards to the top 10 address holders upon completion of minting. These tokens range in id from 1-10. In the event of a tie for 10th place, a random address will be selected among those tied to receive the reward.
Most NFT collections are based on a combination of image layers to create uniqueness. Each image shares its attributes with other images and is not entirely unique. It relys on the combination of these attributes to create an image that is slightly different from the rest.
This project took a completely different approach. First, the medium is based on music rather than images. Secondly, it uses a series of algorithms to generate all aspects of the songs allowing each song to be completely unique.
If you've ever played minecraft, you may have noticed that each map generated can be reproduced again using a "Seed". This is possible because of something called a psuedo-random number generator (PRNG). A PRNG will return a deterministic series of random numbers based on the input seed. Small changes to the seed will produce completely different sets of random numbers. The algorithms used to generate the songs are based on random numbers from a PRNG so the same song can be reproduced as long as the algorithms and the seed have not changed. These seeds may be used for verification of the songs or a future extension of the project.
Isaac is the creator of this project. He has been writing code professionally for the last 12 years and is a full-stack engineer that has a broad range of experience. He has been playing musical instruments longer than that, which has allowed him to create algorithms based on music theory and playing experience.
This project is an experimental project meant to be fun, creative, and inspirational. Each NFT includes a MIDI file of the work and owners are granted rights to use their NFT in any way they see fit; even commercially. It would be awesome for owners to use their NFT or a derivation of it in their own musical works.
There are many ways the project could be extended. It would be cool to grow the team and reward early adopters and owners in future endeavors related to this project. But at this point there are no guarantees for the future.
As a muscian, it can be hard to find unique riffs or patterns. Maybe we even tend to prefer certain keys, tempos, or patterns and have trouble exploring the entire space. The purpose of this project is to remove our prejudice and explore spaces we wouldn't normally be able to on our own.
It is also intended to give everyone a chance to own a song that is uniquely theirs. One that can be used however the owner should choose.*
*There is a chance that the songs generated may share similarities with other known songs. There is no way of knowing this, since the songs are randomly generated and the number of songs available is too large to compare results against.

This is an experiment with hope that it will keep members engaged, checking in frequently, and build anticipation. Projects that sell out are more likely to increase in value, giving you a higher return. By not setting a hard deadline, the team can launch the release when enough interest has been gained in the project. The 24 hour notice is subject to change, but definitely join twitter/discord to stay in the loop.
